Throughout my time in the ADL course, I have completed a significant body of work, which I summarize here, including links to my projects from the final 5320 course. Let’s start with an introduction about myself. Additionally, I have included a link to my blog where I have shared collaborative work with my colleagues. This program has greatly benefited my learning journey, both professionally and personally. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to complete my master's degree at Lamar University in the ADL program. The unconventional nature of this program pushed me out of my comfort zone, which was exactly what I needed to expand my abilities. I aspire to influence future students in a similar manner. I leave this program as a positive and forward-thinking professional, with a deep understanding and a renewed vision to create change. Thank you for taking the time to share in my journey.

COVA has transformed my learning approach and the way I teach bilingual children, and it has even improved personal relationships with friends and family. This reflection demonstrates my understanding of COVA—choice, ownership, and voice—through real learning experiences.

This Innovation Plan was the core focus of the ADL program and the culmination of our learning. In this final update, I outline my current progress on planning and implementing my innovation plan. I discuss my goals, the learning process, successes and challenges, potential changes, next steps, and how I plan to apply what I have learned in the future.Innovation Project Update

I leave this program with a new thought process, a brighter outlook for the future, and skills that will benefit me throughout my life. The video-audio presentation shares my experiences and feelings about the ADL program as a whole and outlines my past, present, and future plans. The "Short Story - From Learner to Leader" slides are linked to the assignments, and the Timeline Infographic provides more information, taking you from the beginning of the first courses (ADL 5305/5303) to the end of the program (ADL 5318/5320) on this learning journey.

Our innovation plan journey started in course 5305. This course launched our plans through a Literature Review,Implementation Outline and Innovation Proposal. We learned to think innovatively, laying the foundation for our ADL journey.

The learner's mindset allows us to take control of our learning by including choices and voices in designing authentic projects. This course helped us use technology to create changes in our Growth Mindset Plan, Learning Manifesto, and My Teamwork.

5303 gave us time to work on and further develop our ePortfolios. In this course, we created our ePortfolio and began a blog.

CSLE forms the foundation of COVA. This course taught us how to create an environment that caters to the needs of all learners. Throughout the course, we developed New Culture of LearningLearning PhilosophyGrowth Mindset Development,  Outcome Alignment and our UbD Design.

Contributing to the professional world is an essential part of learning. This course taught us how to share our knowledge with others and actively engage in professional growth beyond our organization. The assignments included a Publication Outline, a Rough Draft, a Media Pitch, a Final Draft, and Resources for Digital Environments.

In this course we learned to be leaders with a strong sense of self. We were provided with tools to navigate the inevitable push-back to the change that occurs during implementation of our innovation plans. This course led us through the development of The Why, the 4DX Plan, the Influencer StrategySelf-Differentiated Leadership, and Organizational Change Strategy projects.

This course centered on instructional design. We brought our plans to life by using the LMS of our choice to construct our course. During the course, we completed assignments on Instructional DesignImplementation Design, and Usability Testing.

Professional development is essential to any innovation plan. This course taught us how to formulate a professional development plan for sustained learning in our organization. I created an Alternative PL, a Call to Action, and a Complete Professional Learning Strategy.

In course 5315, we delved into the area of research. We learned how to effectively use action research, measurement, and evaluation to refine and expand our innovation plans. This course included My action research design outline, a Literature Review for Spanish Bilingual Students  , a strategy for measuring and evaluating instructional tasks and digital learning that will be evaluated in the coming weeks.

OuIn the final course of the ADL program, we become reflective, self-assessing learners as we review all our work to develop a COVA ReflectionInnovation Project Update, and ADL synthesis.
